Getting started

SnapBack needs access to your Photos library. Grant access, pick a date, and explore your memories.

  1. Install SnapBack — Find "SnapBack" on the App Store and install it
  2. Pick a date — SnapBack starts on today, showing photos from this date in past years
  3. Tap any photo — Tap to view the full year-by-year view, or generate a recap reel
  4. Save or share — Recap reels can be saved to Photos or shared via the share sheet
  5. Try Premium — Subscribe for unlimited recaps and 4K export

Compatibility

SnapBack requires iOS 17 or later. iCloud Photos and Shared Library are supported.

Permissions

SnapBack needs read access to your Photos library. We do not write photos back without your action.

Account & privacy

SnapBack has no accounts. You can reset your data by uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

Storage

SnapBack itself takes less than 50 MB. Reels you save go into your Photos library and follow iCloud Photos settings.

Reels & sharing

Recap reels can be saved to Photos or shared to any app via the system share sheet.

Billing

All purchases are processed by Apple via your Apple ID. Family Sharing is supported.

Refunds & cancellation

Refunds are handled by Apple Support. SnapBack does not see your payment details.
